Policy on Article Processing and Publication Fees
1. Article Processing Charge (APC) Structure
VARIANSI Journal applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) to cover operational costs associated with manuscript processing, peer review coordination, copyediting, and online publication.

| Domestic Authors (Indonesian Institutions) | IDR 350,000 | Applies when the corresponding author is affiliated with an institution based in Indonesia. The APC is charged once per accepted article, regardless of the number of authors. |
| International Authors (Non-Indonesian Institutions) | IDR 0 | A full APC waiver is automatically granted when the corresponding author is affiliated with an institution outside Indonesia. No application or approval process is required. |
Note: The APC is charged only upon acceptance of the manuscript. No fee is collected at the submission or review stage.
2. Payment Procedure
Upon formal acceptance of a manuscript, the editor will communicate the payment instructions directly to the corresponding author via the email address registered in the OJS system.
Payment details, including the bank account number and transfer instructions, will be provided at that time.
Authors are requested not to make any payment prior to receiving official confirmation of acceptance from the editor.

4. VARIANSI Journal Funding Model
VARIANSI Journal operations are supported through:
- Institutional budget allocation from the Department of Statistics, FMIPA, Universitas Negeri Makassar.
- OJS infrastructure support provided by Universitas Negeri Makassar.
- Article Processing Charges collected from accepted domestic authors.
- Voluntary contributions from editorial team members and reviewers committed to advancing the field of statistics in Indonesia.
5. Transparency and Anti-Predatory Statement
This APC policy is publicly disclosed on the VARIANSI OJS website to ensure full transparency for prospective authors.
VARIANSI does not fall within the category of predatory journals and operates in accordance with prevailing standards of scholarly publishing.
If any party claims to collect fees on behalf of VARIANSI Journal beyond the amounts stated in this policy, authors are urged to report this immediately to the Editorial Board via the journal's official email address.
