3. Management

Academics from the Department of Statistics, Universitas Negeri Makassar, run the journal with editors from institutions in Canada, Egypt, India, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the United States, and Vietnam. The Editorial Team page lists every member, and the Reviewers page lists the reviewers.

  • Editor-in-Chief: Ansari Saleh Ahmar, Ph.D. He sets editorial policy and holds final responsibility for every publication decision.
  • Regional Handling Editors: handle manuscripts for the USA and Europe, and for the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Managing Editors: run the editorial workflow, the publication schedule, and communication with authors and reviewers.
  • Editorial Board and International Editorial Board: advise on scope, policy, and quality, and handle manuscripts in their areas.
  • Reviewers: assess manuscripts through double-blind peer review.

4. Editorial independence

The editors make editorial decisions on scholarly merit, following our Peer Review Process and the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The owner and publisher do not interfere with decisions on individual manuscripts. Funding, advertising, and payment of an article processing charge have no influence on them. Manuscripts from the Department’s staff, students, and our own editors go through the same double-blind review as every other submission.

5. Funding and revenue

The Department of Statistics, Universitas Negeri Makassar, funds the journal and provides the OJS infrastructure. Article processing charges (APC) paid by authors from Indonesia also support it, as described in our APC Policy. Authors from Indonesia pay IDR 300,000 per accepted article. International authors pay no APC. We charge the APC only after a manuscript is accepted, and it does not affect the decision to accept it. Readers pay nothing.
